The island of
Madagascar is not a continent, but it has a corundum
distribution that is as rich and diverse as just about any other
land mass on the planet. Here are a few examples from the
collection. The first two are huge and very rare. Could the "Star of India" actually be
Madagascan? (See last photo in the third row below) |
